About Geraldine:

My tutoring style includes clear presentation of needed concepts and skills in a variety of formats including visual, auditory and hands-on-experiences. In the initial meeting with my student, I assess the present understanding and skill level of the student. Then, I formulate an individualized teaching plan to build upon the current skill level of the student. Incorporating review and repetition with encouragement and success has usually proved to be a winning approach.

While I served as a full-time math and science teacher, I tutored high school and middle school students in general math and Algebra I skills in the Hartford, CT area. I enjoy working with and helping children realize their potential and achieve their best. Working patiently and individualizing teaching according to the needs of each student has proved to be a successful approach for me.

I have an extensive science and math background and have effectively communicated and helped many children increase their knowledge, skills and confidence in the areas of math and science over the past 20+ years.
