Description
The Cellular Resources Bioassay group of a leading human therapeutics company with research operations in Seattle, is seeking a Senior Associate or Associate Scientist to assist in the development and implementation of in vitro bioassays. The successful candidate will design and implement experiments to develop and optimize bioassays to be used for drug product potency testing. Additional responsibilities include routine sample testing, generation of testing reports, drafting of analytical methods and method development reports.
Basic qualifications include a BS or MS in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Immunology or related field with 2-5 years of practical experience. The qualified applicant should have experience with a variety of cell-based and non-cell based assay formats which may include cell proliferation, apoptosis, reporter gene assays, time-resolved fluorescence, alpha screen and ELISA. Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills, and strong computer skills also required. The qualified candidate will be self-motivated, capable of designing and executing experiments independently, and experienced in analyzing, troubleshooting and documenting experimental results. Strong interpersonal skills needed to effectively work in team-oriented environment across many functional groups. Knowledge of GLP regulations a plus.
